Our mission is to foster a “chain of goodwill” where young people from Nigeria and Japan can learn from and support one another through art, healthcare, culture, and education.

“Believing in human potential and supporting the future of the next generation”
— this is the founding spirit of the Ogbeyemi–Mizoguchi Fund.

This scholarship program is operated by GloSis (Global Scholarship & Education Support Institute), currently undergoing NPO certification.
GloSis is a non-profit organization that aims to create a society where young people from Japan and Nigeria can engage in mutual learning and support through education, culture, and the arts.
Guided by the core values of compassion, integrity, mutual respect, and empowerment, GloSis strives to expand opportunities for young individuals to dream—and to realize those dreams.

2.Scholarship Details

Eligibility

We offer non-repayable scholarships to support young individuals who meet the following criteria:

1.Students with international backgrounds
 — including those living in Japan or international students, who require financial and educational support.

2.Students pursuing careers in fields such as medicine or the arts
 — with a passion for learning and social contribution.

Support Provided
  • Monthly Amount: ¥10,000 (disbursed as ¥60,000 every 6 months)
  • Duration: 1 year (with possibility of renewal upon review)
  • Use of Funds: Tuition, educational materials, international exchange, art or social contribution activities
Selection Criteria (Tentative)
  • Demonstrated interest in the fields of arts, medicine, or international exchange
  • A strong motivation to contribute to society
  • Maintaining above-average academic performance at their current school

Origins of the Scholarship

This scholarship initiative was born from a meeting between sculptor Oladele Ogbeyemi and physician Dr. Tetsuhiro Mizoguchi.
Although they come from different professional fields—art and medicine—their shared belief in the potential of young people and their mutual desire to make the world a better place inspired this project.

  • Steering Committee: A group of volunteers from Japan and Nigeria working in the fields of education, medicine, and the arts

5.Support & Funding

The Ogbeyemi–Mizoguchi Scholarship Fund is made possible through the warm support and generosity of individuals and organizations.
Each donation represents a heartfelt wish that becomes the driving force behind the learning and growth of the next generation.

Primary Sources of Funding
  • Personal contributions from the Japanese representative, Dr. Tetsuhiro Mizoguchi
  • Portion of sales proceeds from custom-made artworks by LLC CMA, donated to the fund
  • Donations and sponsorships from individuals and organizations who share our mission

For Applicants
Who is eligible to apply?
We welcome applications from young individuals who are either based in Japan or have international roots and wish to continue their studies or pursue activities in fields such as medicine, the arts, or related disciplines.
Please refer to the specific application guidelines for details regarding age limits, nationality, or residency requirements at the time of application.
What kind of support is provided?
The scholarship offers financial support to assist with part of your tuition, textbook fees, and other educational expenses.
Additionally, we plan to provide opportunities for participation in cultural exchange events and networking activities.
How many recipients are selected?
The number of recipients may vary each year.
For the first year, we plan to select 2 to 3 recipients. In the future, we aim to expand the number of scholarships in line with our growing support system.
How is the selection process conducted?
Selection will be based on a review of submitted documents, and may include an online interview if necessary.
Final decisions will be made through a comprehensive evaluation by the Selection Committee, with an emphasis on fairness and transparency throughout the process.
Is the scholarship repayable?
No. This is a grant-type (non-repayable) scholarship.
However, in cases of false declarations or serious violations of the program’s terms, recipients may be asked to return the funds.

Yes, corporate sponsorship is welcome.
We offer various opportunities for partnership, including public recognition as a sponsoring company and collaboration in exchange events.

7.Future Development

Phase 1 (Fiscal Year 2026)

One high school student with a foreign background and one Japanese high school student will be selected as the first scholarship recipients.

From Phase 2 Onward

We plan to expand the scope of support to include university students, community activists, and emerging artists.hool student will be selected as the first scholarship recipients.

Long-Term Vision

We aim to organize the “Ogbeyemi–Mizoguchi Forum”, a cultural exchange event led by our scholarship recipients, promoting mutual understanding and collaboration between Japan and Nigeria.
